Learning To Skate II

Everything in its own time…

One of the basic principles of parenting is patience. Patience until the child is ready and willing to learn something new. Because each child has their own pace of development, the fact that our child currently refuses to do something does not mean that he/she will never do it. It just means he or she is not ready for that yet. Patience. Everything in its own time…

This situation is best observed in sports activities.

For example, last year, we watched with admiration other children skating on their own. Ana was a beginner. It was the first year she went on ice. We were pleased with the ”stick with dad” stage. This year, Ana, from the first day, wanted to enter the ice rink alone.

At her request, we added last year’s video to the left bottom. It is essential to help kids to build a healthy self-esteem.
