We Planted An Oak Tree In The Yard

We decided to transform a part of the yard into a small forest. Our forest near our house. A small oasis of biodiversity based on the work of the Japanese botanist Akira Miyawaki.

By planting a small forest next to our house, we want to stimulate biodiversity and the fight against climate change. Even if we spend a lot of time on the Internet, we spend our relaxing moments in nature. Along with our pets. Along with the flowers and trees I planted. Along with smaller or larger temporary guests (birds, insects).

Botanist Akira Miyawaki’s method is based on the use of native vegetation. This can produce resilient and diverse ecosystems.

This fall we planted an oak tree. We preferred a small specimen of a native species to give it the opportunity to become an adult tree resistant to the weather it will face.
